While it's of course possible that I'm well and truly jumping the gun by attempting to re-engineer my entire web presence around this somewhat shoddy website, the recent scumification of Twitter caused me to reconsider my relationship with the current social media landscape, and I've come to the conclusion that outside of maybe being able to use cohost if it becomes feasible to make industry contacts there and posting the occasional promotional TikTok (man isn't it fun how we've turned all of social media into Casual LinkedIn), my creative output and preferred forms of online interaction are incompatible with how modern social media platforms expect you to interact with them.
So, here we are. While Neocities too will eventually be subject to the rotting, corrupting influence of Venture Capitalism, at least this way I can pack up and leave for marginally-greener pastures the moment any yacht-owners get involved.
Which brings me to the core of this announcement; the lack of them. Along with my usual brand of Creative Lethargy, I'm also dealing with a monumental load of personal bullshit that's making it just a tad hard to actually get around to working on any of the stuff I'm actually excited about. For those of you new here, get used to that last sentence getting endlessly reworded and regurgitated, because it kind of seems to be my default state.
Anyway, enough self-deprecation. I'll most likely be sporadically updating the "delicious CONTENT" section with cancelled projects I forgot about, along with updating the "recommendations" section as I remember stuff I refuse to be normal about. As for this section, don't expect another update for at least one month, possibly longer.
Actually, just don't expect updates, period.
